Sixth European Tangible Interaction Studio – May 26th – 30th 2024, Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), Wales
‘The aim of this meeting is to gather young European researchers in our field, to get them in touch with internationally renowned researchers and to establish networks for their future.’
Tangible interaction is an interdisciplinary research field addressing areas at the border of the physical and the digital. Many researchers, designers, developers and artists work in this area, with research and innovations being applied to a vast range of sectors.
In its broadest sense, Tangible Interaction encompasses user interfaces and interaction approaches that emphasise:
- tangibility and materiality of the interface
- the physical embodiment of data
- whole-body interaction
- embedding the interface and the users’ interaction in real spaces and contexts
The focus of the 6th European Tangible Interaction Studio is Tangible Interaction in the Community and is supported by the DTLSN 4.0 UKSPF project.
