Workshop Proposals
ETIS’24 invites proposals for half-day (4h) or one day workshop activities (2*4h)m.
The “Tangible Interaction: Strengthening Community and Place” workshops will offer researchers a unique opportunity to work with the Blaenau Gwent community whilst immersing themselves in the materials, methods, and processes pivotal to tangible interaction practice and research. The aim is to inspire (through tangible interactions) positive change and empower individuals to play an active role in building stronger communities for the future. The main themes include enhancing the social fabric of communities, optimising local green spaces, nurturing community inclusivity, and building resilient, safe, and healthy neighbourhoods. This workshop will offer a valuable platform for researchers and Blaenau Gwent community members to come together and explore the intricacies of tangible interaction for the enhancement of the Blaenau Gwent community.
The proposal should provide information on the following aspects:
- Background: Provide a rationale for the workshop, describe the issues to be addressed, and state concrete goals for the workshop.
- Organisers: Present the organisers’ backgrounds, including the main contact person.
- Workshop Structure: Explain the workshop structure, including activities, timing, and resources.
- Post-Workshop Plans: optionally state your plans for follow-up and creation of outcomes (e.g., poster presentation, publication of a workshop report, plans for a special issue of a journal, creation of a working group or mailing list).
- Specify the material you need (audiovisual equipment and (digital) fabrication tools, electronic workshops, etc.)
- How many people can participate (min and max)?
- References: Please add any relevant references. References do not count to the page limit.
Information on submission coming shortly.
